Max Brenner

Taking up rowing in the 2012-2013 season, Max Brenner is a stalwart of Sydney Rowing Club. His first nationals saw him make the A final of the U17 1x, despite being only 15 years old. Throughout his junior years, he consistently represented the club, culminating in 2016 where he took a Bronze in the U19 1x, as well as winning the U19 2x, U21 4x and Club Men’s Eight.

Following this, Max was selected in the Junior Men’s Quadruple Sculls to compete at the Junior World Championships in Rotterdam. Alongside SRC crewmates Pasha Bevan, Jackson Kench, Tom Barnes, and Coach Lachlan Carter, the crew placed 6th in the B final in challenging conditions.

In the 2018 season, Max was relentless in his approach to the single, taking a 5th place at nationals, in addition to winning the U21 4x, U21 4+, and the Noel F Wilkinson Trophy for NSW in the Men’s Youth Eight.
