Coaches
Tom Morris - Head Coach
Tom comes to us fresh from his most recent post coaching the senior men’s squad at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra. During his time there, he worked under the guidance of the national head coaches and helped develop many of the national senior team athletes in their preparation for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Before heading to Canberra, Tom was the Junior Development & Talent Identification Coach at the Western Australian Institute of Sport and WA Rowing Club following a two year stint as Head Women’s Coach at the University of Western Australia Boat Club.
Tom has a broad scope of international experience coaching both men and women on Australian NTID, Junior and Senior National Teams. We don’t hold it against him, but Tom is also a qualified psychologist which he finds is the most valuable tool for being a coach and utilises his skills to get the best out of every athlete he coaches. He is a passionate and dedicated coach with a drive to achieve success for his athletes and the club.
